The Department of Population Health at Dell Medical School is looking for a Senior Research Program Coordinator.
The Department of Population Health is seeking a Senior Research Program Coordinator for the ABH-CTX2 program to ensure the timely achievement of goals, objectives, and deliverables.
This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team and community partners to improve breast cancer screening, health literacy, and overall health outcomes.
Responsibilities include :
Supporting and managing a Central Texas breast cancer project.
Establishing relationships with external collaborators.
Collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
Enhancing community outreach and engagement.
This position has an end date of 02 / 28 / 2027, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals.
Purpose
The Senior Research Program Coordinator will provide project management, develop relationships with collaborators, manage outreach and educational presentations, offer administrative support, collect and manage data, and organize meetings.
Additionally, they will maintain a centralized system for program resources, provide health navigation assistance, support program implementation, ensure protocol compliance, and lead data collection and analysis efforts.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination and Day-to-Day Skills : Provide administrative support for all program activity. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain minutes.
Tracking of grant goals and objectives to ensure they are being met in a timely manner. Collect and maintain all study related program documents and for regulatory and reporting purposes.
Maintain ethics and compliance standards the protection of human subjects, institutional training and any additional training required by the institution or funding agency.
Organize and collaborate with strategic partners and program team for coordination and scheduling of community-based outreach and engagement efforts.
Assist with follow-up appointments and care coordination with patients as needed, but not limited to medical homes and social services.
Individual and Community Outreach and Engagement Skills : Develop and maintain relationships with screening stakeholder organizations.
Coordinate with program team members for continual and active community outreach and engagement. Assist with developing and implement assessment tools for project longevity and maximum positive patient outcomes.
Lead qualitative and / or quantitative data efforts.
Communication and Organizing Skills : In coordination with community partners, serve as a liaison between Dell Medical School and other community partners.
Utilize written and verbal communication and assist with building a foundation for long term solutions and expanding program reach.
Data Collection and Management Skills : Assist with developing and implement assessment tools for project longevity and maximum positive patient outcomes.
Lead qualitative and / or quantitative data collection and analysis efforts. Manage primary data collection, develop, and maintain databases.
Assist with development of surveys, forms, and tools for tracking data. Administer surveys, collect data, and manage survey data.
Assist with post award management including preparation of progress and annual reports.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in sociology, anthropology, psychology, public health, health education, community health, education, educational psychology, or related field, plus 5 years of program administration or program coordination.
Experience with qualitative and or quantitative data collection and analysis. Experience with project management and implementation of study protocols.
Working knowledge of statistical analysis software. Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in sociology, anthropology, psychology, public health, health education, community health, education, educational psychology or related field, plus 3 years of relevant experience;
or Ph.D. in sociology, anthropology, psychology, public health, health education, community health, education, educational psychology or related field.
Experience conducting research in academic, primary care or family medicine settings or experience with community-based research in general.
Working knowledge or experience using REDCap.
Salary Range
$55,000+ depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions.
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines.
Field work as necessary.
