About the Position : We are seeking an experienced COO with a strong background in hospitality / property maintenance combined with verifiable experience in operations management, strategic planning, and executive leadership.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of leadership experience in janitorial management, total facility maintenance management, or resort management, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and strategic growth.
Responsibilities :
Strategic Vision and Leadership :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan that aligns with our long-term vision and goals.
- Drive financial performance by setting and achieving ambitious business objectives.
- Analyze financial and operational reports to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
Operational Excellence :
- Lead and inspire a high-performing operations team to deliver exceptional service across all business units.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular evaluations of services, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.
Client and Stakeholder Relations :
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and retention.
- Lead high-stakes client negotiations and manage contract renewals with a focus on creating win-win scenarios.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategies for business growth and client acquisition.
Quality Assurance and Compliance :
- Ensure rigorous quality control processes are in place and consistently adhered to across all operations.
- Oversee compliance with industry standards, client contracts, and company policies.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Talent Development and Leadership :
- Attract, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to senior managers, enabling their professional growth and success.
- Develop and maintain a robust succession plan, identifying and nurturing future leaders.
Innovation and Program Enhancement :
- Leverage industry insights and technical expertise to drive innovation and improve service delivery.
- Oversee the enhancement and implementation of our proprietary computerized maintenance management system.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency across all service lines.
Training and Development :
- Champion the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for managers and frontline employees.
- Support the regional Operational Excellence staff in rolling out new accounts and initiatives.
- Ensure all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role; experience leading facilities operations in a large-scale environment.
- Experience in the janitorial or hospitality field.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills : oral, written, presentation.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed.
