Scheduled Work Hours : Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, nights, weekends as needed.
Primary Objective :
Review customer order requirements and manufacturing capabilities to develop robust and cost-effective routings. Makes sure that customer order requirements are met at all stages of manufacturing.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Sales Support
- Review specifications and requirements on customer’s request for quotes to determine if the process and production are acceptable.
- Assign a routing based on the customer purchase order requirements.
- Review inventory material against customer requirements.
- Systems Support
- Develop routings for new items, primarily in the Bridgeville & North Jackson facilities
- Update specifications and test requirements in the Order Fulfillment System.
- Update and correct routings as needed.
- QA / QC functions
- Develop QC test plans for orders.
- Review test results for acceptability to customer requirements.
- Release orders for shipment.
Education and Experience :
- BS degree in Metallurgical / Material Science Engineering.
- 1-3 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Skills :
- Strong computer and data analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement skills (Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, etc.)
Physical Demands :
- Speaking, hearing, near and far eyesight.
- Ability to safely move around and work in both an office and a manufacturing environment.
