Qualifications
- Proven 2+ years experience with knowledge of fire suppression systems, and related equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to operate a computer, tablet and read electronic blueprints required
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- NICET or State certification required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work on a ladder
Responsibilities
- Join our team as a Fire Protection Service Technician and play a vital role in safeguarding lives and properties
- As a skilled technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the highest level of safety for our clients
- Perform routine inspections and testing of fire suppression systems, extinguishers, and other fire protection equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions, making necessary repairs and replacements to ensure optimal functionality
- Conduct preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of fire protection systems and minimize the risk of failures
- Document inspection and service activities accurately, maintaining detailed records of findings, repairs, and recommendations
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate service appointments and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Stay updated on industry regulations, codes, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide expert guidance to clients
- On-call rotation with other technicians to handle emergency service and inspection requests
