The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated Senior Professional Engineer, in the Right-of-Way & Threat Management team.
In this role, you will be part of a high performing group of engineers, technologists, and land analysts that work to ensure safety and protection of TC Energy's infrastructure.
Your role will be to evaluate Crossings that may impact TC Energy’s pipelines and facilities, apply Damage Prevention best practices, and collaborate with internal operations and stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Review and assess proposed pipeline Crossing requests
- Conduct Engineering Assessments of pipeline Crossings
- Evaluate 3rd party requests and apply Damage Prevention best practices
- Own and improve team processes and procedures (Crossings / Blasting)
- Review Blasting requests for activities planned in the vicinity of pipeline systems
- Provide technical support to pipeline integrity stakeholders and regional representatives as required
- Support the continuous improvement of integrity management program and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation
- A minimum of ten (10) years of engineering or equivalent experience
- Other combination of education and work experience may be considered
- Effective communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
- Understanding of pipeline construction practices, pipeline Class, and pipeline Crossing requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant professional experience in pipeline integrity and ASME pipeline standards
- Thorough understanding of PHMSA and State Regulations related to pipeline integrity and damage prevention
- Self-motivated individual with excellent work ethic and attention to detail
- Demonstrated decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate and contribute in a team environment
- Established ability to problem solve by applying engineering principles and developing effective solutions
