Associate Chemist

Provide analytical support by preparing, testing, and analyzing samples. Follows standard procedures to ensure product quality meets standards and record the data using standard procedures.

Responsibilities / Job Functions

• Use SOPs under ISO controlled documents to set up, perform, evaluate stability product samples analysis and to ensure that product quality meets the standards.
• Records all data in proper and approved ISO format.
• Successfully operate all instruments.
• Provides analytical support for NMR, FTIR, GC-MS etc.... by traveling to P2 offsite locations when needed.
• Perform all wet chemistry procedures such a titration, extractions etc.
• Perform calibration, basic troubleshooting, maintenance on laboratory instruments and help with scheduling yearly PM.
• Work closely with Manager of QC and Analytical Chemistry to support lab management.
• Maintain proper lab Notebook.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• B.S. in Chemistry or related field is required.
• At least two years of experience is preferred.
• Analytical : GC, HPLC, DSC, Viscometer, Refractometer, Tensiometer, NMR, UV-Vis, IR, Karl Fischer, Titrator, pH meter, balances.
• Microsoft word, excel, outlook.
• Good oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
