Team Overview :

The Risk Management department ensures market surveillance and market, credit, operational and enterprise risks of AAC-USA are managed in line with the regulations and risk appetite.

The department creates a culture and framework of risk awareness in order to achieve a sustainable profitable growth, building and keeping the trust and confidence of all stakeholders (clients, regulators, shareholders).

The Market Risk team serves as a key second line of defense element within AAC-USA’s risk management framework. The team continuously monitors client portfolios in order to ensure that exposures remain consistent with approved parameters and firm policies.

Job Overview :

The Market Risk Associate role includes responsibility for a variety of daily tasks and procedures, as well as project-oriented activities meant to improve and enhance AAC-USA’s ability to protect itself and its clients.

A successful candidate should exhibit excellent communication skills, be motivated toward continuous learning and professional growth, and should take a keen interest in understanding client trading strategies and global financial markets generally.

Responsibilities :

  • Support the Market Risk second line functions of AAC-USA according to the firm’s established risk policies and reporting guidelines
  • Monitor client portfolios and markets to identify potential risks, perform corrective actions and enforce risk parameters
  • Become familiar with a broad range of markets and products globally through interactions with clients, market venues and other risk professionals
  • Contribute to constant improvement in our approach by making recommedations to management to enhance our market risk practices
  • Work on projects and development tasks as assigned by senior management

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in Risk Management, Finance or Information Technology preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, IT or other technical field
  • Comfort with and ability to master various computer systems and software applications
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and a collaborative work environment; strong work ethic and tenacity
  • Interest in Financial Risk Management, financial modeling, and regulatory risk frameworks

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with programming languages (Visual Basic, SQL, Python, R);
  • Understanding of relational databases and data architecture
  • Proficiency with Tableau
