What will your day look like? As a Cisco Campus Network Engineer, you will :
- Conduct ongoing research to stay updated on the latest advancements in Aruba, Juniper, and Cisco network equipment, including next-generation routing, switching, and SDN technologies.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborating with Presales Engineers to define network architectures and develop task lists and deployment strategies for various projects.
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of network solutions across LAN, WAN, SDN Platforms, and other network hardware appliances within project parameters.
- Manage the execution of equipment, hardware, and software upgrades, both for new installations and existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with discipline leads and Pre-Sales Engineering teams to develop and deliver training sessions, demonstrations, presentations, and updates on new services and solutions.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with stakeholders at all levels within client organizations.
- Exhibits maturity and self-initiative, thriving in environments that offer minimal supervisory guidance.
You will be a good fit as a Cisco Campus Network Engineer if you have :
- Possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in network engineering and architecture, demonstrating expertise in designing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex networks within large enterprise environments.
- Hold 1-2 years of specific experience supporting the deployment of fabric-enabled campus infrastructures and facilitating the migration of customer networks, encompassing both greenfield and brownfield scenarios.
- Demonstrate a robust understanding of both traditional and cutting-edge campus routing, switching protocols, and technologies, ensuring comprehensive knowledge across legacy and next-generation systems.
- Exhibit a track record of success in designing and implementing enterprise-grade LAN and WAN solutions, showcasing the ability to deliver reliable and scalable network architectures.
- Proficient in writing and implementing scripts tailored for network automation, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency in network management tasks.
- Familiarity with blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction terminology, enabling the assessment, production, and modification of proposals in a format suitable for presentation to landlords and contractors.
- Skilled in business statistics and adept at creating charts and tables to effectively present information, aiding in decision-making processes and project management.
- Possess working knowledge and experience with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, including Active Directory, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Visio, with additional proficiency in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Project considered advantageous.
- Well-versed in current IT standards and possesses a sound understanding of basic security measures and requirements, ensuring compliance and robust network security protocols.
- Proficient in routing and switching, with a comprehensive grasp of campus wired solutions and their associated SDN platforms.
Proficiency includes : Mastery of Juniper EX series paired with MIST technologies Proficiency in Aruba CX series coupled with Central management Expertise in Cisco Catalyst 9K series integrated with DNA Center capabilities
- Additionally, skilled in Cisco routers, WAN, SD-WAN, and internet technologies.
- Extensive experience conducting network assessments, capturing packets, and analyzing Ethernet and TCP / IP protocols.
- Familiarity with network visibility tools such as Cisco Thousand Eyes or equivalent solutions.
