Dental Office Assistant

Are you a forever dental assistant!? We’re searching for a diligent dental assistant to provide support to our dentist’s office.

You’ll be responsible for supporting our dental staff, helping prep for examinations and procedures, obtaining dental records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring our patients leave our practice with a smile.

Compensation : $20 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Record each patients treatment information during their visit and ensure dental records have the most current information
• Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments and ensure each patient's mouth is comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist
• Provide postoperative instructions to patients so they are informed about how to care for their teeth and gums after procedures to prevent infection
• Ensure the patient area is ready for exams and procedures by prepping equipment like x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials and cleaning and laying out dental instruments
• Give patients advice on a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile
• Help educate parents and children on the importance of good oral health care
• Assist providers with dental operative procedures
• Assist the patient through the oral hygiene process, coronal polishing, and X-rays
• Sterilize instruments
• Support the clinical team
• Prepare treatment rooms

Qualifications :

• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental assistance program required
• Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
• Basic data entry and computer skills
• Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service
• Candidates must have graduated from a dental assistant program
• Must have dental radiology / x-ray certification
