Job Details

Our client is a non-profit organization in the finance industry seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and management in a non-profit setting.

This individual will play a crucial role in shaping and guiding the financial future of our organization, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership : Responsible for the organization’s overall financial strategy, ensuring the development and execution of effective financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Strategic Planning : Work closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors to develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals.
• Management : Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. Manage and mentor a dedicated team of finance professionals.
• Business Strategy : Leverage expertise in financial analysis to guide business strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Board and Committee Meetings : Attend and participate in meetings of the Board of Directors and its various committees, providing financial insights and updates.
• Audit and Tax Filings : Coordinate the annual audit and tax filings, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in budgeting, financial analysis, strategic planning, management, and accounting.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Exceptional strategic thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive business strategy and growth.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to a variety of stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.
• A deep understanding of non-profit financial regulations and standards, including experience coordinating audits and tax filings.
• A passion for our mission and a commitment to the non-profit sector.
