We are currently seeking a US Benefits Administrator to join our Boart Longyear team in Salt Lake City, UT. The benefits administrator is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day processes of all benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan and other ancillary benefits.
The role will also support employee benefit queries and manage the benefits email box. They will complete benefits related forms from government and state agencies.
Additionally, this position will also update information in the Ignite benefits system, maintain medical and leave records, assist with US compliance requirements, perform simple audits, complete surveys, and administer the dependent verification and National Medical Support Notices processes.
This is a full-time permanent position located onsite at our Corporate HQ in Salt Lake City.
Responsibilities
Administer employee benefit programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k)).
Manage enrollment, changes, and terminations for benefits.
Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
Ensure compliance with benefits regulations (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA).
Prepare and file required reports and documents.
Maintain accurate benefits records in HRIS.
Address employee inquiries about benefits plans and eligibility.
Assist in developing and implementing benefits strategies.
Support employee benefit queries and manage the benefits email box.
Complete benefits-related forms from government and state agencies.
Update information in the Ignite benefits system.
Maintain medical and leave records.
Perform simple audits and complete surveys.
Administer dependent verification and National Medical Support Notices processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance.
Proficiency in HRIS and benefits software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Certification in Benefits (CBP, CEBS) preferred.
Experience managing benefits queries and email correspondence.
Familiarity with government and state benefits forms.
Knowledge of maintaining medical and leave records.
Understanding of US compliance requirements.
