Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Fire & Life Safety opportunities, providing expert guidance on scope development and risk factors to ensure successful sales outcomes.
- Work closely with customers, internal teams, and vendors to craft solutions and ensure the smooth execution of fire alarm systems and safety services.
- Analyze customer needs through drawings, specifications, and meetings, suggesting cost-effective alternatives to differentiate our offerings.
- Lead pre-construction initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Maintain a qualified pipeline of opportunities, consistently forecasting results and identifying growth areas within key vertical markets such as healthcare, education, and government.
Top Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales or business development within the commercial fire alarm / life safety or similar building systems industries.
- Strong working knowledge of fire and life safety systems, equipment, and relevant codes (e.g., NFPA, IFC, IBC).
- Expertise in estimating and selling technical solutions, with a strong track record of developing accounts and strategic sales planning.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel overnight for business development within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with electrical and general contractors and performing fire alarm design services in collaboration with engineers.
- Background in selling to vertical markets such as hospitals, universities, and government entities.
- Familiarity with industry organizations and standards such as NFPA, AFAA, and ASHE.
- Proven and stable work history within the local markets, ensuring familiarity with regional business needs and industry trends.
