PAINTER / DRYWALLER
Salary : $16.02 - $18.10 / Hourly + Full Benefits

Position Summary :
Under general supervision, performs a variety of rough and finish painting and drywall work at a professional level. Requirements of the position include but are not limited to interior and exterior dwelling unit and commercial and residential renovation projects, the replacement of installing drywall and drywall finishing and painting of units and scattered site houses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to painting units and doing any drywall repairs as needed for unit turns.
Painting and Drywall repair / Installation of interior and exterior dwelling unit and commercial and or Residential properties owned by THA.
Unit demolition, cleaning, rehabilitation to include flooring, painting, drywall, carpentry, and other related items necessary for a full complete unit turn as determined by the Construction Manager.
Apply drywall to walls or ceilings. Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of buildings. Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints.
Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air-conditioning units, and plumbing.
Be able to do all types of drywall repairs and finishing.
Install receptacles, switches and make minor necessary electrical repairs.
Makes estimates of material, time, and labor necessary to complete in-house and contract jobs.
Determine the process by which the projects will be accomplished. Access what is required to complete assigned projects, develop a list of parts and materials, and see the required parts and materials are moved to the work location.
Make repairs to machinery. Direct the work of less skilled workers that are assisting in the completion of the project.
Responsible for cleanup of work areas and equipment when work is completed.
Establishes contact and maintains good relationship with the public.
May act as a lead person over a small crew of workers.
Work with other construction professionals, such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers, to prepare units for lease.
Protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping.
Collaborate with other professional painters on larger jobs.
Practice self-supervision on small jobs and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner.
Match paint samples for touch-ups and other projects.
Be able to patch and repair drywall and finish with texture to match existing walls.
Required to maintain and respond to communication devices during the workday and when deem on-call for emergency response (i.
e., two way radio, THA issued cell phone).
Utilize the THA Work Order System and follow all applicable rules and regulations.
Respond to after-hour calls as needed or directed by THA Management.
Perform or assist in performing the duties of higher classifications for training purposes and of lower classifications to meet work schedule requirements as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years experience in painting and drywall installation / finisher.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a current valid Oklahoma Drivers License.
