Summary
Clinical Research Assistant helps investigators and coordinates proper clinical trial recruitment, participant screening, and participant visit intake intake.
Other Requirements : Able to work out of the San Marcos location, sometimes travel to the Temecula location, and rarely to Chula Vista
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates participants for trial screening. Ensures complete and proper execution of the protocol schedule of assessments and data entry.
- Assist in participants’ recruiting using proper regulatory approved documents, and recruitment procedures; schedules prescreening, and screening activities.
Prepares review of inclusion / exclusion criteria for participant eligibility, per protocol. Maintains current potential participants list in accordance to OHRPP, IRB, ICH / GCP, and other applicable regulations.
Tracks participants' progress in the study, prepares and manages participant study binders, following proper completion of source document worksheets, and makes sure PI / Sub-I complete their tasks for each visit.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Clinical Research Coordinator / Research Assistant, CRC / CCRC
- Experience in venipuncture
- Associates / Bachelors or other college degree preferred
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record System preferred.
- Working knowledge of clinical research policies and guidelines set forth by :
- US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
- National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- Human Research Protection Program (HRPP).
- International Council for Harmonization Good Clinical Practice (ICH / GCP).
