    Summary

    Clinical Research Assistant helps investigators and coordinates proper clinical trial recruitment, participant screening, and participant visit intake intake.

    Other Requirements : Able to work out of the San Marcos location, sometimes travel to the Temecula location, and rarely to Chula Vista

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinates participants for trial screening. Ensures complete and proper execution of the protocol schedule of assessments and data entry.
    • Assist in participants’ recruiting using proper regulatory approved documents, and recruitment procedures; schedules prescreening, and screening activities.

    Prepares review of inclusion / exclusion criteria for participant eligibility, per protocol. Maintains current potential participants list in accordance to OHRPP, IRB, ICH / GCP, and other applicable regulations.

    Tracks participants' progress in the study, prepares and manages participant study binders, following proper completion of source document worksheets, and makes sure PI / Sub-I complete their tasks for each visit.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Clinical Research Coordinator / Research Assistant, CRC / CCRC
    • Experience in venipuncture
    • Associates / Bachelors or other college degree preferred
    • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record System preferred.
    • Working knowledge of clinical research policies and guidelines set forth by :
    • US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
    • National Institutes of Health (NIH).
    • Human Research Protection Program (HRPP).
    • International Council for Harmonization Good Clinical Practice (ICH / GCP).

    • Self-motivated and desire to learn and grow in healthcare
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers and payors
    • The ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently and effectively
    • Strong commitment to actively supporting an ethical working environment
    • Strong knowledge of computer-based systems such as Excel, Word, and the Internet with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
    • Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
