Reporting to the Area Director of Programming, the Program Director is responsible for the sourcing, planning, training, implementation, delivery, evaluation, data collection and analysis of a broad range of core programs within the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (BGCSNV) organization.
This includes programming in Education, Leadership, Creative Arts, Health and Wellness, Workforce Development, and Sports and Recreation.
The Program Director is also responsible for related administrative tasks.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and / or Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g., education, child development, recreation) from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, planning and implementing activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft and / or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to deal effectively with multi-age groups of children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities.
- Ability to meet deadlines with time constraints and handle multiple demands.
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills. Ability to interact professionally with the public and other professional staff.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience teaching or providing training.
- Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities.
- Valid Nevada driver’s license and a good driving record. Use of personal vehicle may be required with reimbursement for mileage at standard IRS rates.

Compensation : This position pays starting from $52,000 annually but may qualify for a higher starting wage depending on your skills and experience.
Full-time benefit eligibility after the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k), Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off and Employee Assistance Program.
Employment with BGCSNV may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
