Amotec is currently supporting a search for a Process Control Engineer . Located in Clinton County, PA, our client is an industry-leading chemical manufacturing company.

As the Process Control Engineer , you will serve as a process expert and play a key role in enhancing automation and control systems within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Process Control Engineer Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the plant Distributed Control System (DCS).
• Develop and maintain standards for data acquisition systems and best practices.
• Conduct assessments to identify and address gaps in obsolete hardware and software.
• Oversee the design and implementation of new automation technologies and equipment.
• Train operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on automated processes and equipment.
• Act as project manager or consultant for major automation and control upgrades.
• Provide troubleshooting support for operational and maintenance issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the security and efficiency of control systems.
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards.
• Assist in the development of capital plans to align with site controls strategy.

Process Control Engineer Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred; other engineering disciplines considered with relevant experience).
• 4+ years of experience in process controls or automation engineering, preferably in a chemical plant environment.
• DCS controls experience required, particularly in batch programming; experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS is a plus.
• Willingness to be on-call for process troubleshooting.
• High energy, self-directed, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
