It Business Relationship Director For Technical Operations

We are an $8B global leader in Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology, transforming into a digital health business powered by sensor innovation. Our mission is to help people achieve their best healthstarting with diabetes and expanding into broader biowearable applications.

As the IT Business Relationship Director for Technical Operations, you will serve as the strategic interface between IT and the Technical Operations organization, which includes R&D, Clinical Research, and Medical Affairs. You will be responsible for shaping and delivering technology solutions that enable innovation, accelerate clinical outcomes, and support our mission to expand access and improve lives.

Strategic Business Engagement & Innovation

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across Technical Operations (R&D, Clinical Research, and Medical Affairs), deeply understanding their unique needs and translating business strategies into IT capabilities and roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Shape and prioritize demand by guiding the development of business cases and ensuring initiatives are aligned with enterprise strategy and deliver measurable value.
  • Champion innovation by promoting the use of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, ML, digital twins) to accelerate product development and clinical research outcomes.

Program & Portfolio Leadership

  • Drive strategic digital initiatives across Technical Operations by enhancing data and analytics capabilities, supporting clinical trials, evidence generation, and regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure IT investments are aligned with business priorities, delivering measurable outcomes that advance innovation and operational resilience.
  • Strengthen foundational capabilities through robust data governance, cybersecurity, and lifecycle management to support secure and compliant operations.

    • Fusion Team Enablement & Product Collaboration

  • Orchestrate IT participation in fusion teams, ensuring the right technical experts are engaged.
  • Provide product managers with insights into business priorities, regional nuances, and customer needs.
  • Advocate for and communicate available IT services, platforms (e.g., low-code / no-code), and self-service capabilities.

    • Solution Sourcing

  • Guide business leaders in selecting appropriate solution sourcesinternal, external, or hybridand ensure formal evaluation processes are followed.

    • Operational Excellence

  • Partner with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity teams to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
  • Support resilient operations through robust data governance and lifecycle management.

    • Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards at both the enterprise and product levels while working closely with security and architecture teams to safeguard data and systems.

    • Customer Experience & Change Leadership

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and digital fluency across Technical Operations.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new technologies.
  • Ensure seamless integration across the digital ecosystem to support a world-class customer experience.

    • People Management

  • Oversee at least one direct report to support execution and leadership development.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with significant exposure to R&D, Clinical, or Medical Affairs functions.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex digital solutions in regulated environments (e.g., FDA, GxP).
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, AI / ML, and digital health technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Background in product or software-based environments

    • The base pay for this position is $193,300.00 $386,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
