Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Survey CAD Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and will be responsible for preparing detailed survey drawings and maps.

Additionally, as we expand into drone technology, the candidate will assist with cloud-based point processing using data captured by our licensed drone pilot.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare detailed survey drawings, maps, and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Interpret and process field data collected by survey crews.
  • Collaborate with surveyors and engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
  • Assist with drone survey data processing and management, including point cloud processing.
  • Perform quality control checks on all survey drawings and deliverables.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in surveying and CAD.
  • Assist with other survey-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Associate degree or higher in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Experience with drone surveying and point cloud processing is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of survey principles, methods, and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data management and processing tools.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience working as a Survey CAD Technician.
  • Familiarity with GIS software and applications.
  • Experience with LiDAR data processing.
