The position serves as a champion of quality and patient safety throughout the Ministry. Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer / Chief Quality Officer / Chief Nursing Officer to provide leadership for hospital-wide efforts to continuously improve the safety, effectiveness, efficiency, patient-centeredness, equity and timeliness of health care service to all patients.
Helps lead / manage quality and safety initiatives to achieve outstanding performance on key, nationally standardized metrics of quality and safety.

Required qualifications :
- Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education / experience. Equivalent or further degree in health care or a related component.
- License or certification in healthcare-related field (., ART, RRA, CCS, RN, CPHQ) upon hire
- 5 years Experience in healthcare or quality management.
- Experience with PC and mainframe systems including abstracting and reporting functions.
- Experience in various PC software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphic presentation and flowcharting.
Preferred qualifications :
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) upon hire
