We have an incredible opening for a Activities Assistant to join our team! The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lifestyle Manager in providing activities programs and opportunities for residents that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement and growth.
Our Activities Assistant
- Assist with preparation and distribution of weekly program contents.
- Assist with gathering information, articles, and photos for newsletter.
- Assist with planning and coordinating special events, arts programs, entertainment, special events, parties, group games, interfaith services, and independent projects.
- Assist the Director in maintaining an adequate supply of books, puzzles, magazines and games.
- Assist the Director in training all staff on activity-related programs.
- May be occasionally responsible for transporting residents to appointments, as well as regular and special recreational outings.
- Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed!
- A high school diploma or equivalent education, training and experience
- One year of activities / life enrichment experience, preferably working with seniors
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license and clear driving record
- A familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat and / or Adobe Reader
- An upbeat, fun, outgoing personality and can-do attitude
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Patience, flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond as needed to ensure the success of your team and care for residents of the community
