Traffic Controller / Yard Laborer
Yard Recycling in 1615 S 7th St, San Jose, CA 95112-5932, United States 1615 S 7th St, San Jose, CA 95112-5932, United States 1615 S 7th St, San Jose, CA 95112-5932, United States Full Time As a Yard Laborer, you will be a key member in maintaining the daily traffic flow throughout the facility.
You will be responsible for ensuring all customers enter and exit the facility in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
Direct traffic onsite as necessary in an efficient and friendly manner
Operate vehicles and heavy equipment (Pickup Trucks, Sweepers, Water Trucks, etc.)
Inspect incoming loads and report material type to the correct staff
Perform daily yard work including yard clean-up of scattered debris
Clearly communicate the drop off process and the allowable materials to the customers
Respond to customers in a professional and courteous manner
Adheres to the Companys safety standards
Required Qualifications
Previous experience operating heavy equipment / machinery
Will be required to work overtime, weekends and during emergency conditions
Must be dependable and self-motivated
Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow directions and have strong communication skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Must pass a background check and drug screen
Must possess a valid drivers license
