Under the general supervision of the Deputy City Engineer is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, soliciting bids, processing requisitions, change orders and maintaining construction project records.
In addition, the Accounting Clerk's responsibilities will include some payroll and procurement card reconciliation. Position requires a highly skilled individual involved in the accounting, procurement, and customer service for the Engineering Department.
Employee works with many different records or forms, receives, and prepares information for further processing or record keeping.
The position will maintain construction project records and process related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to agreements and verifies compliance with local, state and federal requirement.
Will determine payments due to contractor for work completed. The individual also assumes general front desk / reception duties of the office.
