Description
Regional Facility Maintenance / Equipment Technician
Carroll Construction Supply is looking for an individual to maintain our facilities and repair the equipment for our rebarfabrication division.
This person must have a working knowledge of the electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics of industrial sized machinery and understand the components of rebar machinery specifically for repairs, maintenance and trouble shooting.
This candidate will be responsible for but not limited to repairing and maintaining rebar fabrication equipment within the region along with normal facility maintenance.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning equipment, systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to maintain workplace safety and production efficiency.
- Generate parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs.
- Train key shop teammates on new equipment and / or modifications to existing equipment.
- Maintain repair records.
- Communicate with management on any machine purchases and installation.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Willing to travel within IA, MN, NE & MO Region.
- Experience in Electrical, hydraulics & pneumatics preferred.
- Working knowledge of rebar fabrication machinery and components
- Training in electrical controls, welding, mobile crane operation and rigging
SPECIAL DEMANDS
- Extended hours may be required
- Travel is a must
- Must be familiar with and adhere to OSHA safety standards
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Heavy lifting may be necessary
- Working conditions may be noisy, dusty, hot, cold
