WeldFit is looking for a self-motivated candidate with experience to fill our CNC Lathe Machinis t position. This position is responsible for operating the CNC Lathes in the shop by performing the duties and responsibilities below.
- Machine parts to specifications using machines such as Vertical Turning Lathes
- Able to understand and edit G code and M code programs
- Understand speeds and feeds for machining and proper set ups
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Set up, adjust and operate all machines
- Check work pieces to ensure alignment and materials onto machines
- Clean lubricate machines as needed
- Monitor the feed and speed of the CNC machines
- Work and think safety at all times
