Responsible, professional position involving financial analysis and a broad range of financial management activities for HED.
Analyzes complex financial information and prepares, and presents detailed financial analyses and reports. Develops programs to research and obtain federal and state grants for departments and agencies of the county.
Participates in the preparation of Departmental budgets; reviews budget submittals for compliance with Administration's directives regarding budget preparation and meets with department personnel to review budget submittals.
Performs detailed financial management analyses, designing and improving financial and / or management systems, reviewing or preparing budget requests, preparing forecasts of revenues or expenses, as well as evaluating and issuing financial reports.
Work requires considerable knowledge of methods and procedures used in financial management analysis. Exercises independent judgment in performing various financial analyses.
Work is reviewed by an administrative superior through conferences, reports and observation of results achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business / Public Administration, Economics or related field; minimum of two (2) years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial data analytics or financial analysis.
Equivalencies : Related Master's Degree and one (1) year of related experience; related Associate's Degree / unrelated Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of related experience;
graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification and six (6) years of related experience.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH : Mortgage loan processing and / or accounting reconciliation; using automated financial system / Crystal Reports / Writer;
