Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter for a part-time position in Banta, California. This role involves working 1 : 1 with a first grader who is ing from a County Program DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) school.
Position Details :Qualifications :
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (or RID / NIC certification)
- Experience working in educational settings, particularly with young children
- Ability to facilitate munication between the student, teachers, and peers
Responsibilities :
- Provide sign language interpretation for a first-grade student throughout the school day
- Support the students learning and social interactions in a classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure a seamless educational experience for the student
