Job Summary :

This position is responsible for supporting the critical mission of the SOC (Security Operations Center) by generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position researches products, services, technology or concepts related to information security to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience. This role will be critical in the development of unit level playbooks and other products needed for the SOC to complete its mission. The position will also support the SOC Team Leads and the Security Operations Manager in adequately meeting and addressing the operational demands within the SOC.

Representative Tasks :

• Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension on information security related topics.
• Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately documented.
• Analyze information required for the development or update of information security policy, procedure, and form documentation.
• Review and / or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
• Develop documentation that follows a common policy and provide the framework for the State of Maine that relates back to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.
• Facilitate timely communications with program managers, outside contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss business problems, corrective action plans, and related organizational issues.
