Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant / Med Tech at 'You Ville Pavilion is an essential member of the patient care team.
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, they are responsible for the direct and indirect patient care of our residents, creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
The CNA / MT will administer medications via oral, topical vaginal, rectal routes and by inhalation ( puffs).
They will be required to chart all medications given, omitted or refused.
The CNA / MT will assist with the activities of daily living, including but not limited to :
Assisting with personal hygiene, aiding with mobility, and assisting with mealtimes.
Job Requirements
Education :
Graduate of a Maine State Board approved CNA course
Active on Maine CNA registry
Graduate of Maine State approved Certified Medication Administration program
Experience :
At least year previous CNA experience required
Other Skills Required :
Excellent customer services skills
Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills
Medical terminology preferred, but not required
