Summary of Responsibilities : As part of the Legal and Compliance team, you will work directly with counsel and compliance professionals, to gain real-world experience and relevant industry knowledge through participation in legal and compliance projects.
The internship offers valuable hands on experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
Responsibilities
What you will do :
- Provide written reports and charts outlining the analysis of legal and regulatory issues
- Update compliance policies and procedures
- Conduct research using legal research tools (. Westlaw, NILS, LexisNexis)
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High School Diploma Must be currently enrolled in a law school accredited by the American Bar Association with a 3.0 or above GPA. (Required)
- Demonstrated record of success within legal program and / or extra-curricular activities.
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven strong analytical and research skills.
- Must be detailed oriented, organized, and have demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proven to be comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
- A desire for continuous learning and improvement.
- Interest in working in the insurance industry.
- Legal research software (., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn and use online programs (., RegEd (Code) and Thomson Reuters Legal Tracker)
