Key Requirements :

• Candidates should be an active member and in good standing of the California bar or eligible to waive into the bar.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
• Have a strong background in California employment litigation and advice and counseling.

Location : This position is based in our Los Angeles office. Applicants should be based within driving distance to our Los Angeles office or planning to relocate if applying to this position.

Position Information :

This position is a Counsel or Senior Counsel role. Both positions offer a vibrant and impactful career within a prestigious global law firm, ideal for those eager to contribute significantly in their field, and the potential for professional advancement.

Counsel have the opportunity to progress to Senior Counsel based on performance, contributions to the growth of the firm's practice, and professional achievements.

Promotion to Senior Counsel opens the potential for future consideration for Partnership. Advancement decisions will consider multiple factors including the firm's needs, the market dynamics within your area of expertise, and broader economic conditions.

This position is ideal for those looking to develop a long-term career with prospects for significant professional growth.

• Duties include, but are not limited to, performing legal research; drafting motions, pleadings, and dispositive motions;
• attending court appearances; drafting and responding to discovery and meet and confer letters; defending individual and class action wage and hour and PAGA claims both in court and in arbitration;

responding to government investigation and inquiries. Applicants will also draft and review employment and severance agreements, employment policies, and Employee Handbooks.

The salary range for this role is $275,000 - $295,000 based and evaluated on experience level.

Senior Associates, Associates, and Sr. Counsel are expected in the office at least two days a week, while Counsel, Staff Counsel, and Patent Agents are expected one day a week.

This flexibility allows our team members to manage their schedules effectively while ensuring they have ample opportunity for growth and collaboration.

• Vacation Incentive : The firm will offer a $2,500 vacation award to all non-partner lawyers who record 600 client billable hours or more in a consecutive three-month period within a calendar year.
• Professional Development : To foster business development skills and support personal contacts, the firm reimburses business development activities.

Lawyers with 250+ business development hours in a performance year will receive a firm-sponsored coaching session.

Fertility Healthcare & Family Forming Benefits : In partnership with Carrot Fertility, we offer inclusive fertility health and family-forming benefits, including assisted reproduction, preservation, adoption, and gestational surrogacy.

The firm provides a $20,000 lifetime benefit for these services.

Referral Bonus Program : The firm offers a $30,000 bonus to any employee who recommends a non-partner lawyer who is subsequently recruited and joins the firm.
