Silver Airways is hiring AMTs in sunny Fort Lauderdale!
We are hiring experienced and certified AMTs to be a part of the Silver family. Silver Airways is a regional carrier providing routes within Florida and to the Bahamas and we need your help as we expand! The AMT (A&P Technician) accomplishes maintenance checks, up to and including line & service checks, along with non-routine heavy maintenance.
Day-to-day responsibilities :
- Troubleshoots and repairs aircraft systems, engine, electrical and avionics malfunctions
- Completes logbooks, non-routine work cards and documents in accordance with General Maintenance Manual
- Accomplishes minor structural and composite material repairs
- Reports to shift supervisor for work and assignments
- Must be able to read and interpret Maintenance Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Structural Repair and Wiring
- Must be able to use Diagrams System Schematics, and use ATA codes
- Must have own tools
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to work flexible hours, shifts and days off
- Must be willing to work days, nights, and holidays; may require overtime
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen, FBI Fingerprint, & 10 Year Criminal Background Check
- Must own a current U.S. Passport or equivalent with applicable visas
- Conduct other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience :
- A&P Certificate required
- Minimum two (2) years experience maintaining ATR or equivalent aircraft experience required
- Avionics and / or structures experience preferred
