Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Controller with a productive and hands-on approach to lead our accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

This role requires a strong commitment to tackling challenges head-on, with a focus on managing aspects of financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the general ledger (GL), including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and review financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget-to-actual variance analysis.
• Lead the annual financial audit process and act as a liaison with external auditors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory management accounting, ensuring proper valuation of inventory, and alignment with GAAP standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including tax filings and other statutory obligations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff to foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and systems, leveraging accounting software expertise to streamline workflows.
• Work closely with the VP of Finance and the Executive team to develop and implement long-term financial strategies for the company.
• Utilize ERP system for financial management, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and reporting.
• Stay current on changes in accounting standards and practices to ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• CPA designation or CPA candidate required.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger management, auditing, and inventory management.
• Extensive experience with financial reporting and GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting practices and procedures, including inventory valuation.
• Proficiency in Intuit QuickBooks for managing financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software systems (e.g, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• A solutions-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and operations management.
