What You’ll Do :
1. Take full HR ownership of all four companies under the New-Indy Packaging umbrella. Master the HR basics, ask good questions, and seek to understand.
2. Partner with management team on employee relations / union grievances, business initiatives, and overall support of daily HR operations.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team.
3. Participate in and oversee all aspects of HR : Recruitment, employee / labor relations, compliance (federal, state & local regulations), training, payroll, safety, and office management.
This includes oversight of the on-site HR team and Receptionist.
4. Position reports to the President with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Vice President, Human Resources, with New-Indy Containerboard.

Qualifications
What you’ll need :
1. High quality HR generalist background with specific experience (minimum 7 years) in union / labor relations, talent acquisition, and compliance.
Experience managing multiple sites preferred.
2. Passion for HR / people, expanding knowledge, strong focus on delivering excellence and client service.
3. Ability to develop strong relationships with employees, management team and union representation.
4. Seasoned HR professional with entrepreneurial business experience.
5. Solid written and verbal communication skills; interact well with all levels of organization.
6. High emotional intelligence and business and financially savvy.
7. Positive, optimistic, action-oriented individual with a can do work ethic.
8. Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical capabilities.
9. Manufacturing experience preferred.
10. Ability to travel; approximately up to 10%
11. Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
12. PHR / SPHR or SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
13. Experience with Paycom (HRIS) a plus.
14. Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
