Department Overview

The Global Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) Marketing Team is responsible for developing and executing all strategic marketing and product marketing programs across the globe to drive product awareness, demand generation and sales enablement.

The team oversees the global product marketing strategy for the video, access control and analytics portfolio, develops the messaging and go to market strategy for the VS&A business, creates and drives marketing programs and campaigns aimed to generate leads and builds brand awareness among target audiences, including system integrators, end-users and consultants.

Job Description

This position can be remote anywhere in the USA

The Marketing Project Manager will report to the Senior Project Manager of the Motorola Solutions Video Security & Access Control (VSA) Marketing Team.

You will plan, monitor and track progress across all projects in the VS&A portfolio, and work with stakeholders to define the project scope, objectives and deliverables.

The role is critical in maintaining and supporting the processes that have been set up in our project management platform across various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create and track detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and dependencies in our project management platform.
  • Participate in project review and status meetings, and communicate project status.
  • Coordinate departmental or cross-functional team communication to define, prioritize and develop projects.
  • Oversee project management for a number of strategic initiatives, including setting deadlines, assigning team members to various deliverables and helping to drive reporting to the broader executive team.
  • Ensure that projects meet deadlines and show a willingness to adjust accordingly.
  • Assess project risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen issues.
  • Organize and track projects in our project management software, Jira. Part of your responsibility will be to maintain the platform and ensure it is always up to date.
  • Create documentation for current and new processes in our team workspace, Confluence.
  • Lead large programs or portions of very complex programs. Direct and coordinate the work activities of project team.
  • Motivate project team to ensure optimal performance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • This position can be remote anywhere in the USA with a preference for candidates in Central / Eastern US time zones.
  • Proficiency with computer systems (Google Suite, Salesforce, Excel).
  • A continuous improvement mindset with proactive problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects and can use a project management platform.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Experience with Jira / Confluence platforms (preferred) or similar project management tools.
  • Self-motivated team player, able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.

Basic Requirements

  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
