SVP of Companion Diagnostics
Myriad Genetics, Inc. continues to build a best-in-class companion diagnostics business that leverages the attributes of the company’s platform in developing quantitative, objective companion diagnostic tests to provide physicians with deeper clinical insights into biology, to help enable more effective treatment decisions for patients.
We are looking for a dynamic SVP of Companion Diagnostics (CDx) Business Development to join our team in the Salt Lake City area to lead and coordinate the continued investment and growth of Myriad’s companion diagnostics business.
This position will report directly to the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Innovation.
Responsibilities
- High impact & highly visible position to accelerate growth of Myriad’s CDx business.
- Responsible for implementing and executing strategic plan which prioritizes, coordinates, and maximizes CDx product expansion and opportunities with the goal to drive near-term and long-term revenue growth.
- Actively participate in outward-facing activities, engaging with key stakeholders in the biopharmaceutical industry to identify collaboration opportunities and drive business development efforts.
- Responsible to create, maintain, and expand Myriad’s companion diagnostics partnerships with the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Build and manage a team which will include business development functions, commercial product manager functions and alliance managers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure operational, informatics, regulatory, research, and clinical teams support the companion diagnostics strategic plan.
- Accountable for top-line and bottom-line CDx revenue growth and new CDx product development.
Qualifications
Senior level management and CDx product development experience with an interest in interacting with executive-level management to determine product / company policy and strategies.
A combined minimum of twenty years of pharmaceutical and CDx product development experience with demonstrated success in executing strategic plans is required.
- An MA or PhD in the fields of chemistry or biological sciences or an MD is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of drug and CDx product development is essential.
- Demonstrated experience sourcing, negotiating, and finalizing partnerships with bio-pharmaceutical companies is essential.
- Experience negotiating product approvals with the FDA, EMA, PMDA and other global regulatory authorities is essential.
- Network of contacts and colleagues in the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
- Proven mentoring and management skills are essential.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and influence management skills are essential.
