CNC Programmer / Machinist
Pay Rate and Hours :
Pay : Based on experience
Days : Monday through Friday
Hours : 8am-4 : 30pm

JOB SUMMARY :
CNC Programmer / Machinist with experience programming 3 and 4-axis CNC mills. You will develop new CNC programs for production and R&D runs or modify existing programs for different machines.
During the manufacturing process, you will perform quality checks with the machine operator to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications, making manual adjustments if necessary.
You may also work with the engineers to look for product modifications that might improve design. Although no formal education is required, applicants should be familiar with the computer-aided design programs MasterCAM and FeatureCAM.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with co-workers and management.
- Develop CNC programs for production and R&D runs
- Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates
- Modify existing programs for different machines
- Maintain tooling database
- Make manual program adjustments as necessary
- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience programming vertical 3-4 axis mills
- Understanding of G-Code
- Familiarity with MasterCAM and FeatureCAM
- Drafting / 3D Modeling
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Advanced math skills
- Completion of a technical or associate degree program (a plus)
- Manufacturing background in aerospace / automotive / oil and gas.
- Computer literate in use of Microsoft Office
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Light physical effort required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about facility.
- Some light duty lifting of material into and out of machines.
- Team lifting.
EQUIPMENT OR TOOLS REQUIRED :
- General Safety consciousness for self and others.
- PPE available.
- Tools supplied by Aeron
