SUMMARY Focusing on supporting ERP systems (primarily Microsoft AX 2012 and D365) and supporting production, provides business analysis, meeting facilitation, training, and implementation of companywide business applications.
Identifies opportunities to improve business processes and to use technology to improve revenue, reduce costs, improve productivity, and increase customer service.
Responsible for break / fix and application enhancement support. Acts as the project core team member for future D365 implementations. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as IT Business Analyst as assigned by management for key business system initiatives, projects, and implementations.
- Acts as IT Business Analyst and liaison / advocate for the Safariland users when facilitating requests within the IT department
- Supports both break / fix and new enhancement requests specific to IT Applications, as needed by the business.
- Facilitates the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple shareholders; define the project business case including project scope, deliverables and timeline that support business objectives.
- Manages project communication throughout the life cycle of the project. Communicates and manages Project Risks. Conducts periodic project reviews with key stakeholders, sponsors, and team members to provide progress.
- Identifies and documents current and future state business processes.
- Provides business analysis and recommends best course of action focusing on business process first, technology second.
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and end user needs. Identifies and documents business requirements which could be automated using current / new technology to improve productivity, reduce costs, better serve the customer, or increase revenues.
- Designs and configures business applications per user specifications using Safariland standard technologies.
- Proposes solutions to best meet the requirements of the organization.
- Creates standard operating procedures and testing methods to ensure the ongoing accuracy of data maintained within all applications.
- Acts as liaison between the organization and application vendors as required for implementations, problem resolution, application upgrades and bug fixes.
- Provides support and training to user community.
- Stays on top of current and new technologies and makes recommendations to implement those which would have a positive impact on the organizations business.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- College degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, preferred
- PMP or IIBA Certification, preferred
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on Information Technology projects as a Business Analyst
- Experience supporting ERP applications and / or project implementation
- Excellent client relation, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-starter, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to identify priorities and manage tasks
- Ability to work closely within a team as well as independently
- Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SharePoint and Visio
- Must have excellent business analysis skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic / changing environment
