About the Job
Azzip Pizzas Assistant General Managers (AGM) are the store General Managers partner in ensuring the store is achieving its performance goals.
AGMs will be hands on, lead shifts, and be the primary point of responsibility for the store at times when the GM is not present.
With their key role in the success of the store, AGM starting pay is $19.90+ per hour including $16.90 per hour base pay plus a $3 per hour tip guarantee.
AGMs also earn Paid Time Off, a free pizza every shift, and receive health care benefits. Development and growth opportunities exist within the role as 90% of current Azzip General Managers started as hourly members of the Azzip team.
Essential Function
AGMs work closely with the GM to develop, communicate, and execute a strategy to help the store meet its goals. The AGM is responsible for directly leading shifts and serving customers, while setting and ensuring high standards are met for uncommonly great pizza, authentic customer service, and a spotless dining room.
Duties
- Lead by example through hands-on work related to pizza making, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized restaurant.
- Teach and coach employees to make sure all team members are following Azzips standards related to ingredient preparation, pizza making, and customer service.
- Support the GM in hiring and building a strong bench of team members and shift leaders.
- Open and close the store efficiently and effectively when needed.
- Communicate and resolve customer and employee concerns and / or elevate issues as appropriate.
- Work with the GM to ensure store food, payroll, and other controllable costs goals are met.
- Place nightly and weekly vendor orders.
- Create a fun work environment by bringing and keeping a positive attitude and helping others do the same.
