Lee & Crowley, LLC is hiring a COO for the firm’s Boston office to start the summer of 2024.

We are a boutique full-service assurance, tax, and business advisory firm founded in 2017 and are expanding our team to deal with the rapid growth we have experienced over the past few years.

Our daily work is a mix of both accounting related tasks and advisory work to help our clients grow their businesses and make sound decisions based on not just historical data, but also forward-looking insights.

The Chief Operating Officer ( COO ) is responsible for overseeing the organization’s ongoing

operations and procedures as well as the efficiency of the business. This specifically includes the

development and implementation of initiatives, handling of business relationships, and the management

of the administrative team.

Key Accountabilities

1. Acts as trusted advisor to the Managing Shareholder and Shareholder Group

Work closely with Managing Shareholder and Shareholder Group on all matters related to the

organization

  • Responsible for upholding organization accountability standards for staff and shareholder
  • Review of operational procedures and implement improvements
  • Work with Managing Shareholder and Shareholder Group to develop and implement organizational

strategies

Facilitates and manages the numerous department committee meetings and forums for the organization

2. Leads the Operations Function

  • Drives and communicates the company vision and services culture
  • Supervising all daily operations of the organization
  • Ensure that the values and leadership standards are communicated and understood at all levels.
  • Manage organization cash-flow
  • Provide clear role responsibility, establishing a climate of continuous measurement and performance

improvement

Create and maintain a team culture that values, recognizes and generates high performance,

supports innovation and challenges the status quo

Ensure the integration of new initiatives into business operations while minimizing the risk of

potential negative impact on existing operations by validating adjustments to existing processes,

interfaces and exception handling, as well as provisioning of sufficient training.

Work with Managing Shareholder to lead employees and to encourage maximum performance and

dedication

  • Work with Managing Shareholder to set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Develops an organization wide value propositions that is clear and implementable across the

organization driven by organization needs and cross functional requirements

Identify operations and project management best practices and leverage them and provide an active role

in determining efficiency opportunities

3. Project Management

Initiate projects and oversee the implementation and follow-through of the project (i.e. process

improvements, client service models, etc.)

Work closely with Managing Shareholder on identified opportunities for improvements.

4. Operations Financial Management

  • Financial forecasting for organization
  • Develops the budget for the organization
  • Actively manages costs relating to organization

Experience :

  • Prefer 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Executive role
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Prefer management experience in a professional service firm
