Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Quality Technician for a direct-hire position on behalf of our client located in Hodgkins, IL .

Overview

Our client manufactures metal stampings for the automotive industry. Due to growth, they are hiring Quality Technicians. Shifts available are :

2nd Shift : 3 : 30 PM-12 : 00 AM

In this role you'll execute dimensional inspections and write documentation to certify that parts comply with IATF 16949 requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Inspect first piece of stamped and welded product per customer print and determine acceptance or rejection
• Utilize measurement tools such as micrometer, caliper, height gage, plug gages, and vision / comparator
• Certify parts meet IATF 16949, ISO 9001 standards and customer specifications, and write supporting documentation
• Attention to detail
• Be trained and update Quality documents per Documents Control procedure.
• Use only safe work practices, wear all required PPE on the job

Qualifications :

• 2+ years dimensional inspection and documentation experience
• Minimum High School diploma
• Understanding of basic GD&T a plus
• Working knowledge of automotive standards or IATF 16949 a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
