A General Laborer Rental Maintenance is responsible for safely and efficiently cleaning containers that are used to transport non-hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities :
- Cleans and services containers using appropriate techniques including handwork or manual work in accordance with established methods and applicable regulations.
- Manually cleans, installs, fits, repairs valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and other external and internal equipment on the container.
- Operates all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, air electrical and / or mechanical equipment including hot and / or cold air blow drying systems, in accordance with operation training and guidelines and safety procedures.
- Maintain equipment in optimal working order and perform regular maintenance to maximize production.
- Sweeps up debris and shovels sludge into buckets for proper disposal.
- Moves containers around the yard as requested.
- Maintains good housekeeping and cleanliness in the container cleaning areas.
- Completes all applicable and appropriate paperwork.
- Practices safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired, but not required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous experience working outdoors, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Must be able to meet criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment non-DOT physical and (FCE).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Ability to follow instructions and perform duties under limited supervision.
- Ability to operate any equipment necessary to perform job.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports to accurately complete daily assignments.
- Ability to work in accordance with Company safety policies & procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
Physical / Mental Demands :
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance.
- Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to manually lift / move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to manually push / move up to 100 pounds with assistance from another employee.
Working Conditions :
- Outdoors in varying adverse weather; low / high temperatures, wet and / or high humidity or sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to outdoor elements, unpleasant odors, small spaces, exposure to fumes, dust, or uneven ground.
