The Tax Accountant is the client’s tax preparer. The top priorities of the Senior Tax Accountant are to prepare the client’s tax return, achieve compliance with taxing agencies, and help the taxpayer achieve the best tax position possible.
- Client proforma / onboarding in tax software
- Business entity tax return prep (990, 1065, 1120, and 1120S)
- Individual tax return prep (1040)
- Development and maintenance of supporting tax schedules and form
- Tax Analysis (projections, estimates, analysis, etc.)
- Communication with taxing agencies
- Researching client specific tax issues
- Consulting / Tax Planning Projects
- Client Communication
Skills and knowledge
- Ability to prioritize projects with competing deadlines (tax season will always be tax season and we need people who can keep a level head and positive attitude and fight the good fight)
- Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a fast paced, high-energy environment
- Ability to keep company / client confidences
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to take directions and delegate when necessary

- Has demonstrated problem solving skills and sound judgement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Clients and staff have to be able to understand you, so being able to explain tax in layman’s terms is essential).
Education / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting required; Masters or CPA
- 3-5 years of tax experience (individual, business entity and clergy)
Pay : $30 - $40 / HR
