Description :
Seeking a highly skilled and independent Microbiologist to join our Life Sciences division. This role requires a professional who can work autonomously and has experience in writing microbiology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for use by individuals without strong microbiology knowledge.
Key Responsibilities :
- E. Coli Culturing : Perform and oversee the culturing of E. Coli for various testing applications.
- Testing and Analysis : Conduct microbiological tests and analyze results to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- SOP Development : Write and update microbiology SOPs intended for use by non-microbiologists, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all laboratory activities comply with FDA and EPA regulations.
- Independent Work : Manage and execute projects independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory activities and findings.
- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the Life Sciences division’s project goals.
Skills & Qualifications :
- Education : Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree w / 5 years experience or Master’s degree / PhD in Microbiology or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in an FDA / EPA regulated environment.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in culturing E. Coli and conducting microbiological tests.
- SOP Writing : Experience in writing microbiology SOPs for non-specialist users.
- Regulatory Knowledge : Strong understanding of FDA and EPA regulations.
- Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Independence : Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
