A fortune 500 financial client of ours is looking for a Senior Cassandra Database Engineer to join their team for a contract opportunity through the end of the year with an opportunity to extend.
This client is currently working onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in Plano, TX ever week and this person would need to interview onsite.
The company is migrating their Database from Oracle to Cassandra and this person will be helping out with the migration and managing the existing Oracle DB and Cassandra DB.
Qualified candidate for this role must have 6-10 years of total experience as a Database Engineer and the following technical skills :
- Must have :
- Cassandra , Oracle , AWS
- Oracle data guard
- Oracle golden gate
- AWS (EC2, RDS, EBS, S3)
- DB Performance tuning
- Automation - hands on Jenkins , Git , CI / CD pipeline , Python
Nice to haves :
- PostgreSQL - aurora
- Aws Cert preferred
