Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee design and analysis of freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and multimodal facilities.
- Prepare and review studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of transportation design and planning projects.
- Prepare detailed project work scopes, fee estimates, schedules, and delivery plans that ensure successful projects for our clients and communities.
- Guide and manage multidisciplinary teams of talented project and design engineers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Champion business development and marketing efforts, resulting in the acquisition of new projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and / or Experience Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 15+ years of experience in the design of freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and multimodal facilities.
- 5+ years project management experience with public sector transportation projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with internal team members and external clients are required.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and proactive management style.
- A desire to grow personally and professionally with each project while working in a team environment to create designs that support our client’s overall project goals.
- Experience with Colorado DOT (or other state DOT) plan preparation procedures and standards.
- Familiarity with industry-related software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil3D.
Licenses / Registrations :
Active Colorado Professional Engineer license or ability to transfer a license from another state within 6 months of hire.
Base salary range for this position is : $120,000-$150,000 / yr dependent on individual education, qualification, experience, and other factors.
