We are seeking an experienced Senior Formulator with a strong background in manufacturing to join our innovative team in the nutraceutical industry.
This role is responsible for the development and optimization of nutraceutical formulations, ensuring their manufacturability at scale.
The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality assurance, and production, to bring high-quality, efficacious products from concept to market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop new and innovative formulations for supplements, vitamins, and nutraceuticals in various delivery forms (capsules, tablets, powders, liquids, etc.).
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure that formulations are designed for efficient and cost-effective large-scale manufacturing.
- Research and source high-quality raw materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supplier qualifications.
- Design and optimize formulation processes to improve yield, stability, and scalability.
- Create and maintain formulation documentation, including product specifications, technical data sheets, and SOPs.
- Address and resolve manufacturing challenges related to formulation, such as stability issues, solubility, or blending challenges.
- Ensure all formulations comply with applicable regulatory guidelines, including cGMP, FDA, and other industry standards.
- Work closely with quality, regulatory, and marketing teams to ensure product safety, compliance, and market readiness.
- Stay current with industry trends, new ingredients, and technological advancements to continuously improve product formulations and processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in formulation development, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
- Familiarity with cGMP, FDA regulations, and industry-specific quality control procedures.
