What you’ll do
- Own the lifecycle of purchase orders for assigned locations.
- Partner with plant management for purchasing matters and act as an escalation point for each assigned location when needed.
- Be a main contact for local suppliers at assigned locations, communicating regularly to build and maintain the relationship.
- Ensure annual local supplier assessments are completed by collaborating with the purchasing team and other departments at assigned locations.
- Schedule priorities for the team to efficiently meet goals on time.
- Track KPIs, anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of targets.
- Develop and communicate team goals.
- Collaborate with other management teams as necessary to achieve goals and targets.
What you’ll need...
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Supervisory experience and / or demonstrated leadership skills.
- Experience purchasing goods and / or services for an organization following a purchase order lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience resolving discrepancies throughout a purchase order lifecycle.
- Previous purchasing software experience required.
- Ability to utilize technology, processes, and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be accessible and approachable.
- Ability to maintain composure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects, and priorities.
- This position requires approximately 25% to 50% domestic travel.

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- SAP experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume warehouse environment.
- Experience purchasing for a manufacturing organization.
