Job Summary
Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) invites applicants for an Assistant Professor of Biology faculty position with expertise in the area of cellular biology or genetics starting August 1, 2024.
The candidate will report to the Chair of Biological Sciences. Primary responsibilities will be teaching a variety of undergraduate biology courses, including cell biology, genetics, and general biology for biology majors and non-majors.
Depending on the candidate's expertise, occasional teaching of upper-level biology courses in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Human Genetics, etc.
may be expected. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community.
Preference will be given to those who demonstrate an aptitude for innovative teaching styles, hands-on and active learning pedagogy, and those with undergraduate teaching experience.

Required Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Biology (or a closely related field), on or before the semester of the start date with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours within the discipline.
