Podiatrist
We are a 1.5 year old, fast growing Podiatry practice on the Palms West Hospital Campus. We are looking for an awesome Podiatrist to join our team and provide amazing care to our patients!
This isn’t your typical stuffy and boring doctor’s office. We have a beautiful clinic that truly caters to our patients' needs and we try to make each day fun and enjoyable.
We’re utilizing the most advanced software and technology possible to ensure a consistent 5-star patient experience (we currently have 230+ 5-star ratings!).

Key Responsibilities :
- Provide a 5-star patient experience!
- Diagnose and treat minor to serious injuries and diseases of the feet, ankles and the lower part of legs
- Perform foot and ankle surgeries
- Provide non-surgical treatments such as orthotics, casting, laser therapy, etc. to treat deformities and ailments
- Prescribe medications as required
- Review patients’ complete medical history and understand their unique situation to determine an appropriate treatment plan
- Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices
- Order additional medical tests like X-rays, ultrasounds and bone density tests to form a better diagnosis if necessary
- Complete all SOAP Notes and MIPS
- Visit and treat patients who are unable to travel at a limited number of nursing facilities
Position Requirements :
Communication Skills
- Ability to interact with patients of all ages and developmental stages from all economic, educational, social, etc., backgrounds
- Ability to treat all patients with respect
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases
- Ability to effectively communicate effectively in both verbal and written mediums
- Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to escalate concerns
Education & Licensing
- Prefer 1+ years of work experience as a Podiatrist
- Current and active license in the State of Florida
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited college of podiatric medicine
- Completion of a 3 year w / RRA podiatric residency program
- Board certification or eligibility for board certification in podiatry
Clinical Expertise
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
- Strong knowledge of foot and ankle anatomy, conditions, diagnoses, and treatments
- Familiar with all types of foot problems including genetic abnormalities and deformities
- Up-to-date with latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as DrChrono, to document patient encounters and treatment plans
- Extensive experience with performing surgical procedures on the foot and ankle
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology for the management of pain or mental health conditions related to foot problems
- Prescribe medications and treatments for foot-related conditions
- Provide patient education on foot care and prevention of foot problems
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Conduct discharge planning for patients requiring ongoing foot care or rehabilitation
- Prescribe and fit durable medical equipment (DME) such as orthotics or braces
