we provide community and home-based services to empower adults with physical disabilities, brain injuries, and mental health challenges.

We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Adult Companion, where you can truly transform lives every day!

Essential Duties :

• Provide companionship and active listening to help individuals express their feelings and cope with challenges.
• Collaborate with individuals to create tailored activity plans that align with their interests, preferences, and goals.
• Inform individuals about local resources, services, and opportunities that can enhance their quality of life.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including changing linens, vacuuming, doing dishes, and taking out trash.
• Offer or arrange transportation for leisure activities, community events, or social gatherings to promote engagement.
• Help individuals manage their finances, including budgeting for groceries and expenses related to community activities.
• Evaluate the environment and activities for safety and accessibility, making necessary adjustments to ensure well-being.
• Respect and uphold the privacy and confidentiality of the individuals supported.
• Complete and submit accurate daily progress notes for each shift worked with the individuals.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND at least 2 years of relevant community-based experience providing services to individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver's license and active car insurance.
• Willingness to drive individuals in personal cars throughout the community when necessary.
• Prepared to comply with required policies, standards, and regulations. Including but not limited to background, reference, and driving record checks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
